Blogging! An Entrepreneurial Perspective!

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

How many times you have heard that you can earn extra income through blogging? Or you can become rich through blogging. Especially in the recent bloggers meetups in Pakistan, you must have been impressed with young bloggers earning a decent amount of money through blogging. After those meetups, we have witnessed many new blogs coming up; some productive and few unproductive, hoping to earn extra revenue from it.

How many times did you think to start a blog in order to earn money? or to make it a profession; that is to make it your fulltime job/business? You might have done the research work also. Such as what blogging is, how to blog, eligibility to become a blogger etc. You might have come across with various opinions like not just any other person can become a blogger, or everybody can not earn through it, passion is required, skills are required, you gotta be intelligent and blah blah.

But wait a moment, Aren’t we forgetting the basic principle/objective of business/entrepreneurship? the sole objective is to “earn profit”. I mean what if a person has good and competent entrepreneurial skills but he is not good at writing? or as they say, he doesn’t have “passion” to write. To hell with that, let me solve your mystery. You are not good at writing, leave it, don’t write. Yes you can still become an owner of a blog without writing yourself.

Yes! don’t write, you can still take blogging as a business by hiring professional writers. They will blog for you on the topic of your choice. You earn through ads and pay your writers. And of course your entrepreneurial skills will be applied there at leading the team of writers. All you can do with a little investment.

Now below are the few FAQs you may like to consider.

1) What the initial investment is required for?

Ans: For having a blog up, i.e. hosting/domain, Search Engine Optimization etc. Also you may need to pay your writers from your own pocket until your business starts earning.

2) Will I have to have an office for me and my writers?

Ans: That’s absolutely not necessary, you can take the start from your home and your writers can also work from home.

3) Is there any risk involved? What’s the guarantee that I will start earning through Ads?

Ans: Yes! The Risk is involved, an entrepreneur should always ready for risk taking : ). And about the guarantee, it depends on the quality of the content you generate.

4) Where can I find the writers?

There are many job boards for bloggers/home based employees, out there. You can post your ads for FREE. Few of them are listed below:

a) AarpixJobs.Com

b) ProBlogger Jobs

c) BloggerJobs.biz
