Today I stumbled upon a site that was boasting to offer what a lot of people on the internet want! They offer a desktop application that can be used to login to all your favorite web services simultaneously, after being logged into a single and simple messenger.

It looked interesting and therefor I thought to give it a try and suggest it to my readers. This application is named as Digsby and offers the following services to be logged into.

After downloading, I installed it, it took about 2-3 minutes while installing. Right after installation, it asked me to sign up for an account on Digsby’s site. Sign up form was short and simple, therefor I didn’t hesitate while signing up. After logging in, a neat window appeared that asked me to add services; for each service i.e. Email, IM, or Social Network, I had to write login credentials. All of my online contacts, email notifications were shown in a neat looking messenger.

My Comments about the Service:

Overall I liked the service, it’s neat clean and convenient. But while using it, I noticed Digsby doesn’t offer that much features of a particular messenger as the original does. So for MSN or Yahoo addicts, I would recommend to stay with your favorite messengers. But for those who use lots of IM/Email/Social Networking services, or those who are extremly busy and hardly get any time to check the updates and activities of their IM/Email/Social Networks, I think Digsby is a great tool to work with. It helps you to keep a track of all the activities going on.

The Brian Shelar Blog raised an important issue regarding Twitter’s serious security hole. Basically, it tells how your twitter account is taken over when you share your twitter login credentials with anyone. Later, even changing your password doesn’t help.

Another important issue with Twitter is that it has not implemented OAuth yet. OAuth is an open protocol to allow secure API authorization in a simple and standard method from desktop and web applications. So, for that matter, any 3rd party needs your login credentials in order to fetch your data from your Twitter Account.

Remember that Twitterank’s scandal? Similar other services like Twitter Karma,  SocialToo ask for your Twitter login details to tell you your rank or some other info that is really of no use. But remember! no matter even if you dont care about hacking of your Twitter Account, you ARE at risk! because the hacker might be guessing your login credentials for other services and accounts also, or even the hacker might get to the login details of your financial services’ online accounts. So it is always risky. Be careful while handling over your login credentials to any 3rd party, especially when the service itself has loopholes.

Similar is the case when you invite your friends on facebook, orkut, myspace etc, they ask you to enter your Email and Password. They also display a note that they don’t store your email login information anywhere, and you have no other option except for trusting them. And Yes! there is no harm in trusting reputable brands but Think Thrice! before entering your login information into an unknown or just another 3rd party app or service. Some online FTP services are also reported to have such login storing features, therefor don’t just jump onto any unknown service.

It’s almost like you have premium account…if you are user of DSL/Broadband when you download one part of the game for example game have 20 rar parts you should do like this…

If you are user of Wireless you should do this…

If you want to download a small file from rapidshare but it gives IP error or asks you to wait, there’s another trick for that without going through the whole process mentioned above

1) Go to any Advance Proxy Browsing services that supports java etc. I’d prefer Anonymouse.Org

2) Enter Rapidshare file link and there you go. . . . . . .!

The best is to have account on megaupload…free account…then you can download 5 link in one time….

FOR MEGASHARES:

Meghashares offer to upload whole game but if you are not premium user you can download 250mb than you have to wait 2 hours….but why???

start downloading game…when you download 250mb download will be paused….
